Penis enlargement results: what happens after the Himplant procedure?
The Himplant (Penuma's next-gen male enhancement solution), is the first FDA-cleared penile implant for aesthetic enhancement. It can potentially increase the girth and flaccid length of the penis with a natural-feeling subdermal silicone implant. Himplant is available in multiple sizes, including L, XL and XXL, and is fitted to every man’s unique shape.
During the procedure, an incision is made on the scrotum to the side of the base of the penis. There is no incision made on the penis itself. The silicone implant is then inserted into the penis, where it wraps around the internal shaft.

Are there any side effects from Himplant?
Himplant has a low adverse event rate comparable to silicone implants for other parts of the body. As demonstrated in The Journal of Sexual Medicine, the Himplant enhancement procedure did not interfere with penile functions of the urethra, erections, or ejaculation.
The penis can look and feel natural after insertion of the implant, and sexual function and sensation is typically back to normal following the 6-8 week healing period. No two men are the same, however, and individual results may vary.
Any surgical procedure, no matter how safe, runs the risk of complications. Following Himplant procedures, among the potential risks and complications, infection was found in 3% of cases. Seroma, or fluid build-up, in 5% of cases. Risks and complications can typically be averted through strict adherence to pre and post-op protocols.

What’s the difference between Himplant and other penis enlargement procedures?
Unlike penis enlargement fillers, hyaluronic injections, and fat injections, Himplant does not dissolve over time. Another key difference is that it’s been cleared by the Food and Drug Administration specifically for use within the penis.

Fat Injection Results
Fat injections can entail a number of complications, including:
- Mild to severe absorption with severe deformity
- Skin adhesions
- Skin scarring
- Necrosis associated with severe deformity, and severe infections
The use of fat for penis augmentation is discouraged by the American Urological Association:”The American Urological Association (AUA) and the Urology Care Foundation consider subcutaneous fat injection for increasing penile girth to be a procedure which has not been shown to be safe or efficacious.”As a result, most urologists do not perform penile fat injection procedures.A case of complications from fat injections is seen below.
Hyaluronic Acid ResultsAnother kind of injection is known as a Hyaluronic Acid (HA) injection. The most common side effect of HA injections is nodule formation, lumps, and bumps that happen as the gel filler becomes reabsorbed by the body. This can cause the penis to look deformed and misshapen.According to the FDA, HA is considered an absorbable or temporary material. The effects of this material last approximately 6–12 months as the body absorbs the material into surrounding areas. This means that patients who decide to pursue this route will often be required to go in for many treatments. Even then, the effects are still temporary.HA fillers may affect penis girth only. The injection of the material is in no way designed to have any effect on penis length. Therefore, men who seek a longer penis length should seek other options.Below is an example of a common complication of HA injections.
AlloDerm ResultsThe regenerative properties of AlloDerm have benefited hernia and breast reconstructive procedures. However, the same properties may pose a high risk of failure if used in inappropriate locations of the body, including the penis.The use of AlloDerm in penile enlargement procedures has resulted in many complications, including:
- Asymmetric appearance of the penis
- Temporary results, at best
- Moderate to severe skin adhesion resulting in skin necrosis
- Seroma or fluid buildup
